About
The Agnirva IKS Teacher Training Program is a 100-hour certification that empowers educators to confidently bring Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into modern classrooms. Modern science has its advantages; ancient science had its own—fewer distractions, deeply held belief systems that sharpened focus, and a continuity of work passed across generations and rulers. This sustained dedication, woven into culture, art, and myth, forms the very foundation on which modern knowledge stands. Respecting ancient insights—myth-laced or not—and combining them with today’s innovations gives teachers the ability to sift, curate, and deliver richer learning for future students. Designed for school and college teachers across disciplines, the program blends cultural literacy with scientific rigor, showing you how to respect the story, verify the science, and teach the method. Through 15 structured modules and 100+ reusable microcourses, you’ll explore India’s heritage in mathematics, astronomy, physical sciences, life sciences, agriculture, architecture, music, linguistics, commerce, social thought, and more. Each microcourse is classroom-ready, with short narratives, practical demonstrations, and measurable student activities—from rope-geometry in the Śulba Sūtras to infinite series in Kerala mathematics, from Panchāṅga timekeeping to Jantar Mantar observatories, from maritime navigation with nakṣatras to governance debates in the Arthaśāstra. Built on NEP 2020, UGC, and AICTE mandates, the program trains you to integrate IKS without overloading syllabi, design inclusive lesson plans, and foster interdisciplinary thinking. By the end, you’ll graduate with a portfolio of integration-ready lesson ideas that enrich your subject and position you as an educator who bridges heritage with innovation. ― [This program is independently offered by Agnirva and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Indian Knowledge Systems Division, Ministry of Education.]
