Inside the Agnirva Software Internship Program
agnirva-software-internship-program-overview
The Agnirva Software Internship Program offers Indian undergraduates a structured entry point into professional software development — with a curriculum anchored in the realities of India's growing space and deep-tech industry. Recognised by AICTE's NEAT 5.0 and inaugurated under IN-SPACe, the program takes students from software engineering fundamentals through to applied project work over eight weeks.
The curriculum covers India's space software ecosystem, systems thinking, agile development practices, microtask-based project submissions, and software design principles. Students across disciplines — from computer science to electronics to mathematics — have participated, reflecting the broad applicability of software skills across sectors. Cohort sessions have included modules on analysing India's space software landscape and understanding how software systems support satellite operations and ground stations.
With India's space sector growing rapidly following ISRO's commercial expansion and the entry of private players, demand for software engineers with space sector knowledge is rising. The Agnirva Software Internship Program prepares students for exactly this intersection. Participants earn an AICTE-recognised certificate and a verifiable allotment letter upon completion.
