Agnirva Space Premier League - Expedition #30504: CSA's C3 Outreach: Connecting Classrooms to the Cosmos
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) believes that space should inspire everyone—and that belief powered the Communications and Outreach-C3-CSA initiative. Led by Andrea Matte, this program spanned Expeditions 57/58 and 59/60 and brought space into Canadian classrooms in exciting new ways.
The initiative focused on providing educators with tools, content, and engagement strategies to integrate space topics into everyday learning. Through classroom kits, ISS updates, and astronaut videos, the CSA turned abstract space science into concrete, relatable experiences for students.
The C3 project also supported real-time interactions between students and space missions, such as live broadcasts or Q&A sessions with astronauts. These moments transformed passive learning into active participation and gave students the chance to ask real questions to real space explorers.
In addition to science, the program emphasized interdisciplinary learning, connecting space to geography, history, art, and even ethics. This approach helped students appreciate the broader impact of space exploration on society and the environment.
By enriching curricula with cosmic content, C3 empowered teachers and energized students, reinforcing Canada’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of space leaders.
