Agnirva Space Premier League - Expedition #30714: Growing Plants in Space: Education Kit C’s Green Mission

Plant life in microgravity? The 'Education Payload Operations - Kit C: Plant Growth Chambers' experiment investigates just that. By observing how plants sprout, grow, and adapt to space conditions, students gain insights into biology, sustainability, and the future of long-term space missions. Conducted during Expedition 15, this educational initiative provides hands-on experience with real data and footage from the ISS. It’s not just about growing lettuce in space—it’s about teaching students the challenges of farming on Mars or the Moon. The experiment encourages curiosity about life sciences and ecosystems beyond Earth. Through plant growth chambers, students witness how microgravity affects root orientation, leaf development, and water distribution. It’s a small step for space farming, but a giant leap in STEM education.
