Agnirva Space Premier League - Expedition #31037: Injecting Plasma to Explore Earth’s Ionosphere

As part of a larger investigation into space weather, the “Altering the Ionosphere by Pulsed Plasma Sources - Injector” experiment tested a method of introducing high-energy plasma into Earth’s ionosphere.

These injections are designed to simulate natural ionospheric processes and help scientists understand how plasma moves and reacts in Earth’s magnetic field. Observing these artificial events from space and ground-based instruments helps build models to predict real ionospheric disturbances caused by solar flares or geomagnetic storms.

The experiment shows how the ISS can be used as a testing platform for Earth science and space weather research that helps protect our tech-dependent world.
