The International Space School Educational Trust-3 (ISSET-3) project brought education to orbit. This initiative allowed students and educators to design real space experiments, giving them a chance to test hypotheses in the microgravity of the International Space Station. Backed by King’s College London and implemented by Space Tango, the project emphasizes that age and background are no barriers to participating in cutting-edge science.
This hands-on project has ignited curiosity among students around the world. They explore topics ranging from cell biology to material science, all with one goal: understanding how microgravity changes the way nature behaves. In the vacuum of space, the absence of gravity reveals new dynamics, often masked on Earth. What started as classroom discussions soon turned into high-stakes experiments aboard the ISS.
ISSET-3 is more than an educational opportunity—it's a movement to democratize access to space science. Students learn to collaborate, innovate, and think critically. The legacy of this program continues to inspire future scientists to aim high—literally.
