Agnirva Space Premier League - Expedition #31119: Orbital Artistry: JAXA Education Payload Observation 10

How do you turn a space station into an art studio? That’s exactly what JAXA did with its Education Payload Observation 10 (EPO 10). Led by Takahiro Ando from the Tokyo University of the Arts, this experiment was part of a series that explores the intersection of space and creativity.

During Expeditions 33/34 and 35/36, EPO 10 introduced unique artistic activities aboard the ISS. These included visual storytelling, motion art under microgravity, and the psychological effects of space on creative expression. The purpose was to study how zero gravity changes the way humans perceive and produce art.

This type of research adds an emotional and philosophical dimension to space exploration. It helps astronauts stay mentally healthy and offers new ways to engage the public with the wonders of the cosmos.

JAXA’s EPO series shows that space isn't just for engineers and scientists—it's for dreamers and creators too. If you're interested in the creative side of space missions, join the Agnirva Space Internship Program and turn your imagination into orbital reality.
