The Kid Forum Connection project is a powerful example of how space missions can ignite student curiosity and learning on Earth. Developed in collaboration with Axiom Space, Hungary’s NMHH, and the Mobilis Science Center, this educational experiment took place during Expedition 73 aboard the International Space Station.
The goal of Kid Forum Connection was to connect Hungarian students with astronauts and space activities in real-time. Students had the chance to ask questions, participate in science challenges, and even follow scientific data coming directly from the ISS. By creating a direct line of communication between Earth and orbit, the project made space more tangible and inspiring.
Led by Principal Investigator Dr. Vári Péter, the initiative emphasized not just scientific literacy, but also global citizenship and cultural exchange. Through collaborative learning and multimedia presentations, students explored themes like gravity, orbit dynamics, and astronaut life in a way that classroom textbooks could never replicate.
Kid Forum Connection represents a new wave of educational outreach that leverages space as a platform for interactive, engaging learning. It highlights the importance of including young voices in our conversations about the future of space exploration.
