Agnirva Space Premier League - Expedition #32139: Seedling Growth-3: Exploring How Plants Grow in Space

The Seedling Growth-3 experiment, conducted during the 51/52 expedition aboard the International Space Station, is a follow-up to the earlier Seedling Growth experiments. The study, led by Francisco-Javier Medina from the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas, aims to explore how plants grow and adapt in the unique environment of space. The primary goal of this experiment is to better understand plant biology and its response to microgravity. By understanding how plants behave in space, scientists hope to uncover new methods of improving crop production on Earth, especially in regions with limited resources. This experiment is part of the European Space Agency's efforts to expand our knowledge of biology in space and support future human missions to Mars, where growing food will be essential. The ESA's collaboration in this research reflects a growing commitment to advancing biotechnology and agricultural sciences, both in space and on Earth.
