Software Internship Track
Week 1 : Day 2 :
Variables and Data Types Program
Created a simple Python script demonstrating the use of variables of different data types (integers, floats, strings, and booleans), including assignment and printing.
# Demonstrating variables and data types
name = "Juilee"
age = 20
height = 5.9
is_student = True
# Output all variables
print("Name:", name)
print("Age:", age)
print("Height:", height)
print("Is Student:", is_student)
2. Even or Odd Checker
Built a program that takes a number from the user and determines whether it is even or odd using conditional statements.
# Even or Odd Checker
num = int(input("Enter a number: "))
# Conditional check
if num % 2 == 0:
print("The number is even.")
else:
print("The number is odd.")
3. Loops for Number Printing and Sum Calculation
Practiced using for and while loops to print numbers and calculate their sum.
# Using a for loop to print numbers 1 to 10
print("Numbers from 1 to 10:")
for i in range(1, 11):
print(i)
# Calculating the sum of first 10 numbers
sum = 0
for i in range(1, 11):
sum += i
print("Sum of numbers from 1 to 10:", sum)
4. Rectangle Area Calculator
Developed a complete interactive program that takes user input for length and width of a rectangle, calculates the area, and displays it.
# Rectangle Area Calculator
# User input for length and width
length = float(input("Enter the length of the rectangle: "))
width = float(input("Enter the width of the rectangle: "))
# Area calculation
area = length * width
# Displaying the result
print("The area of the rectangle is:", area)
Week 1 : Day 3 :
Completed Tasks:
Functions & Parameters: Gained a solid understanding of defining functions, using parameters, and returning values in Python.
Temperature Conversion Program: Built a user-interactive program to convert between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin using modular functions.
Today's focus was on writing reusable, well-structured functions. All logic was clearly separated using functions, and formulas were correctly applied.
# Converts Celsius to Fahrenheit
def c_to_f(c):
return (c * 9/5) + 32 # Formula: F = C × 9/5 + 32
# Converts Celsius to Kelvin
def c_to_k(c):
 return c + 273.15 # Formula: K = C + 273.15
# Main program
celsius = float(input("Enter temperature in Celsius: "))
print("Fahrenheit:", c_to_f(celsius))
print("Kelvin:", c_to_k(celsius))
Week 1 : Day 4 :
Successfully installed git and set up a GitHub profile.
Created a new repository and pushed the Day 3 temperature conversion program to it.
Week 1 : Day 5 :
Created my Personal Portfolio Website as Mini project of week 1.
